The Band Returns From Sturgis - August 25, 2009

The band had an amazing trip out to the 2009 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Accompanying the band, was cinematographer Johnny St. Ours, owner of Piraeus Productions. The film, to be made, will document the trip through Nashville, St. Louis, Kansas City and more as they made their way to Sturgis.

During the rally the band played 7 shows at 5 different venues around Sturgis including; The Knuckle Saloon, HOG Heaven Campground, Bear Butte Campground, The Sidehack Saloon, and Mt Rodney R.V. Park.
Their music was very well received by the riders and locals as they were asked back to all five venues for the 2010 Rally.
In the middle of the rally week, the band had one day off, during which they traveled to the Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments and then in to the Badlands. ON the edge of Badlands National Park, the band stopped to watch the sunset and soak in the amazing view of the park. While stopped, a native Lakota Tribe member named Minerva Blacksmith and her granddaughter, Rachel. pulled over to sell us jewelery.
We all spent the next 2.5 hours trading stories on the side of the road. Minerva told us all about her tribe, the happenings of Wounded Knee, and her ancestry. It was incredible to say the least. There is a picture posted on our myspace page with Minerva, Rachel, the band and entourage.
